Science City at Tucson Festival of Books
The Tucson Festival of Books is an amazing community-wide festival that celebrates literacy and learning. It reaches well over 100,000 people. Science City aims to spark excitement and engagement with science through hands on activities and demonstrations. This is an annual event -- come check it out in March!
Crowd Counting at the National Mathematics Festival
The National Mathematics Festival is an awesome event, bringing together mathematicians from young and old. In 2017, I headed a team that was charged with counting the total number of people in attendance. Armed with selfie sticks, surveys, and a statistical model, we tackled the task.

Math Circles at CSU!Math Circles is a week of hands on mathematical exploration and discovery led by CSU mathematicians for middle school students in the community. Each year there are approximately 40 students. If you are interested, more information about Math Circles at CSU can be found here. I have been the co-organizer of Math Circles for two years and led several interactive sessions.

NoCo Math Oval:
A monthly math circle for middle school and high school students where advanced non-curricular and recreational math topics are explored.
